How Many CBD Gummies Should I Eat?

Gummy bears infused with CBD are never too late if you just recently added CBD to your routine and have been thinking, “How many gummies should I eat?”

Well, there is no straightforward answer that applies to all of this, not because no one wants to tell you but because there is no universally applicable answer.

Why Take CBD Gummies?

According to manufacturers, CBD Gummies are manufactured to relieve anxiety, depression, pain, inflammation, and improve sleep.  As of March 2013, CBD products were approved as epilepsy treatments by the FDA.

However, research into CBD oil’s effectiveness has only examined pure CBD oil, not CBD-infused gummies. The evidence for pure CBD oil’s apparent health benefits is limited, although the number of well-conducted trials is expected to increase now that hemp laws can be distinguished from marijuana laws.

What CBD Gummies Dosage Should You Take?

“How long should I consume CBD gummies?” is an uncomplicated concern that many people wonder about. What they usually do is in these 3 points:

  • One gummy is effective for mild pain.
  • Treat anxiety and sleeplessness with two gummies.
  • If you have a severe illness, eat four gummies.

Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. There are various CBD gummies available; some contain 5 mg of CBD, while others are infused with 25 mg or more.

To use CBD gummies correctly, you need to find the right dosage for you, based on the strength and type of the product you’re choosing, then convert this dosage into the appropriate number of gummies. But keep in mind that the dosage might depend on some factors, which are explained below in the article.

Factors Affecting CBD Dosage

Several factors determine the dosage of CBD gummies:

  • Weight
  • Metabolic Process
  • Chemical composition of the body
  • Biological Availability

Although you can use these factors collectively to develop a framework, keep in mind that each person is different. Making mistakes is part of learning.

#1 Weight

A person’s weight helps determine how well their body processes supplements, such as CBD and other health supplements. Depending on your body weight, you can figure out your starting dose and adjust it if necessary.

Nevertheless, you can determine your starting dose using your body weight. The categories that determine the dosage are:

  • If the weight is below 130 lbs, then the dosage will be less than 11 mg.
  • If the weight is between 130 and 230 lbs, the dosage will be 18 mg or less.
  • If you weigh 230 pounds or more, the dosage will be 23 mg or above.

If moderate treatment is your goal, the list of options is quite broad. Because it is difficult to determine whether a person weighs 130 pounds or 230 pounds, 18 mg is likely too much for a 130-pound person and not enough for someone who weighs more than 200 pounds.

#2 Metabolic Process

Choosing the right CBD dosage depends on a person’s metabolism, which affects the body’s ability to absorb CBD and other cannabis compounds.

To increase the results of your CBD gummies, you should take them on an empty stomach. Gummies have a greater likelihood of enhancing the effects after eating them.

CBD is slower to grow in your intestine, but it is also more readily available in your bloodstream because it is bioavailable.

#3 Chemical Composition of the Body

It is somewhat difficult to predict how different individuals will react to CBD after specific doses, as it boils down to how they perceive the effects of CBD. CBD may provide immediate results for some people, while it may take up to two weeks for others to notice any effects.

CBD works best if you have a severe deficiency of endocannabinoids. By affecting endocannabinoids in different parts of the body, CBD helps the endocannabinoid system maintain a healthy level of endocannabinoids and overall system wellness through modulation.

Every time you consume CBD gummies, you may experience adverse reactions, but this is extremely rare. If CBD is the problem, stop using it until you figure out what’s wrong.

Despite the high-quality nature of gummies and the lack of prescription medications, your body could experience adverse effects if you take the prescribed dosage. To experience all the health benefits of CBD without side effects, try a lower dosage and increase it slowly over time.

Biological Availability

After an individual consumes CBD, his or her level of bioavailability is measured in percent and refers to how much extra CBD is circulating in the bloodstream. The bioavailability of CBD varies depending on its form.

CBD in the form of gummies and capsules, which are taken orally, has the lowest bioavailability. The ingested CBD will reach the circulatory system a maximum of 20% of the time.

A CBD gummy with added fatty acids (such as hemp oil) or consumed after a meal can increase the bioavailability of the CBD extract.

Overdose of CBD Gummies

Despite their delicious taste (and gummy supplements in general), CBD gummies are not meant to be eaten as a dessert. Practicing moderation is key when using CBD.

CBD is suspected of impairing liver function in some patients taking very high doses over a long period who took CBD for as long as four weeks. The study revealed some patients took CBD in the hundreds of milligrams a day for as long as four weeks.

Conclusion

Gummies containing CBD can be safely dosed if you understand how your body responds to CBD and how cannabinoids are processed. A starting point can be determined by your weight and the intensity of effects, whether that’s five, ten, or fifty milligrams of CBD a day.

Once that happens, you’ll need to adjust the number of CBD gummies you eat to reach your optimal dosage, keeping in mind CBD gummies is slower to be bioavailable than CBD oil.
